As far back as I can remember I was a Formula One fan. When I was growing up, names like Hunt and Fittipaldi meant something magical, as did Lotus and John Player Special. Someone else’s Scalextric set was the closest I ever got to an actual F1 car though, being a poor kid from the north of England.
This is a short race Kevin Going and I had on Saturday night. We normally run a whole bunch of these back to back to get our race fix on a Saturday in preparation for running the same car and track in a 1hour timed race the following Friday, but after this one (the second of that evening) we decided to call it a night as we both agreed it wasn’t going to get much better than this!
